    Owner Karyn Gingras has been making hats for 14 years and always has over 300 in her store at any given time. This year, crushable berets are big sellers, but for a little more fun, check out the faux-fur hats in ombré red, plum and blue. There is even a faux-fur Elmer Fudd hat with ear flaps. Recently, Gingras sold a couple of her creations to Adrienne Clarkson, including a sculpted black pillbox hat with red poppies. “She has beautiful taste and a face for hats,” says Gingras. “I think she has to keep protocol in mind but she certainly has an individual sense of style.”

    Owner Kumari Colson makes regular trips to Nepal to collect some of the most handsome scarves and shawls in the city. “I try to carry things that people don’t have,” she says. “I want it to be a real find.” At any given time, Colson has 700 pieces in 150 shades in her showroom. Currently, she has 42 shades of red and 28 shades of green. This winter, she has tons of hand-embroidered shawls and scarves. For a festive flair, she has scarves with gold threading and beading in dark green or topaz blue tones. She also has luxe pashminas, mink slippers and hats, as well as dramatic beaded evening bags.
