In this 25th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, several events will take place in January. On the 22nd, Amy Stephens will speak at San Diego First Assembly. Spokeswoman for Focus on the Family, she has dedicated herself to the abstinence message and educating teens on sex education. A pro-life fair at 5:30 p.m. will precede the 6:30 service. Also on Jan. 22, California Life Coalition will hold a Candlelight Vigil from 4 until 6 p.m. at the Family Planning Associates in La Mesa. They encourage participants to bring a candle or flashlight, signs and/or friends.

The weekend of Jan. 24-25 is a national postcard campaign, sponsored by all Catholic parishes. The campaign seeks to send as many postcards to as many congressmen as possible urging them to vote to override the President’s veto of the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act, HR 1122.
