Sarah and I have been married for 16 years, and we share a wonderful and blessed life together. From the beginning of our marriage, we put the Word of God as the primary influence in our relationship. Sarah and I both came from homes that had been broken by divorce, and neither of us had wonderful examples to look to. We had the challenge of overcoming cultural differences and full-time ministry from the start.
When we base our relationships on what the Word says, we have the victory no matter what we have to go through. During our lives together, particularly as we pioneered our church, we went through some difficult times financially. It was at these times that we learned to work and stand together as a team. We applied the principles that the Word teaches, and guess what? It worked, and it still does.
The Bible teaches us to forgive, to be unselfish, and to communicate, and we have learned to do that. Now in our ministry, we are able to help many people who are experiencing tough times in their marriages, and we direct them straight to the principles in the Word.
