If given the opportunity to spend some time with President Bush, I would likely want to discuss these topics:
1. If wisdom is the ability to see things from God’s perspective, how do you seek and rely upon your understanding of God’s perspective as you seek to lead our country?
2. The decision to seek to influence lives comes with great responsibility, provides tremendous opportunity, and will likely invite a large amount of scrutiny. What principles have allowed you to be a resilient leader when faced with criticism?
3. In Psalm 133:1,3 King David wrote, “How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity… For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.” What can be done to create a greater sense of cooperation among competing political parties and a country filled with differing views on ethics, to invite God’s blessing upon our country?
4. How could I be a source of encouragement to you?
Note: We’d probably talk sports with any remaining time.
