In case you haven’t read about it anywhere else, most of North County, including Good News, Etc., now has a new Area Code — 760.
The 760 area includes all North County except prefixes in Poway, Penasquitos, Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Santa Fe, Solana Beach and Del Mar.
Some of the ads in the newspaper designate the change and others may not. However, your calls will go through without the complete area code numbers — 619 or 760 — since the phone company extends a grace period of about 6 months. Beginning next month we will attempt to list an area code with all phone numbers in the paper. Please remember when you correspond with us!
