San Diego will be hosting two major youth events – Youth Wave ’97 and The Exodus Tour – this fall.
Youth Wave ’97 takes place on Saturday, Sept. 20 at San Diego State University’s Open Air Theater. It includes bands such as the Supertones, Dogwood, P.O.D. and many more. The promoter’s first Youth Wave event was held in Anaheim and attracted 3,000 youth. For ticket information call 1-800-776-9391.
The Exodus Tour is more than a concert. The free event will be held in the parking lot of San Diego Qualcomm Stadium. Bands such as P.O.D., Dogwood and Unity Clan will be featured, along with professional surfers, skateboarders giving their testimony, music by Santos, a car show, graffiti art contest and more.
Speakers will include Pastor Leo Giovenetti of Mission Valley Christian Fellowship, Santos, and Noah Bernardo of Rescue Records, sponsor of the event. For details, call (619) 476-3660.
