Dhaka: Bangladesh and India have expressed satisfaction over mutual cooperation in various fields.
On Thursday (May 11) India’s Foreign Minister had a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganabhaban. S Jaishankar.
In this meeting, satisfaction was expressed regarding the bilateral cooperation between India and Bangladesh.
Later, Prime Minister Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim briefed the journalists.
The press secretary said that in the meeting, both sides expressed satisfaction over bilateral cooperation in various fields.
In the meeting, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar discussed the state of regional economies in South Asia in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic and Russia-Ukraine war.
They also discussed the 6th Indian Ocean Conference to be held in Dhaka on May 12 and 13 and the G20 Summit to be held in India in September.
The Prime Minister expressed hope that India will make a significant contribution to advance the interests of the people of less developed countries.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina congratulated Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi through Foreign Minister Jaishankar.
Thanking Bangladesh for organizing the 6th Indian Ocean Conference, Jaishankar said that the participation of Bangladesh in this conference is very big.
