The Potter’s House, named the fastest-growing church in America by Charisma magazine, celebrated its first “birthday” in Dallas July 7 with more than 10,000 members and 15,000 people attending three Sunday services.
Senior Pastor Bishop T.D. Jakes told the congregation, “I didn’t come from a megachurch. I’m not trying to build one — I don’t even know what a megachurch is. The main entree of this church is the Word of God. I came to this city to preach the gospel with all my heart, mind, soul and spirit.”
