First Christian Church of El Cajon and Granite Hills Christian Church have merged and now have a new name – East Hills Christian Church.
The congregation opened “special invitations” at an Oct. 12 joint Congregational Convention. The invitations announced the church name.
Pastor John Tastad also introduced the staff members and explained how each individual fits into the newly combined team.
Worshiping together begins Sunday, Nov. 16, at 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. at the Washington Avenue campus. The pastor said he hopes both church properties can be sold soon so they can build a larger facility.
